What Do We Offer

Just about everyone in and around the Tri-Cities has heard of "the Mission", but how many folks really "know" what we do? You may know someone who has come to us for help in a time of need. Maybe you've donated clothing or money or some other resource to us in the past. Or maybe you're like the growing number of folks we run into who are just interested in knowing more about what we do and how we do it. Well, this page is for you! The Mission offers the following services to our community:

Shelter:

24 hour emergency shelter for men, women, and women with children in two separate facilities. Length of stay is evaluated by the men's or women's director respectively, and contingent upon progress toward resolving issues impacting a persons ability to acquire housing.

Daily Meals:

The Mission currently provides breakfast, lunch and dinner for overnight clients and lunch and dinner to the community at large. At present, we serve approximately 6000 meals a month

Community Give Away:

We offer a weekly food box to every family who is registered with us, and monthly access to both the clothing and furniture depots. You must pre-register on Wednesdays between 9:00 am and 11:00 am at the Women's Shelter. Proof of residence, citizenship, and children (if applicable) is required to receive services. All items are free of charge.

Pick-Up Services:

We will pick up your unwanted or un-needed furniture, clothing, household items, or appliances for re-distribution to a needy family in our weekly giveaway. Please call our offices to schedule your pick up today.

Programs:

We offer the New Life program, which is a bible based approach to freedom from strongholds. This a 13-month in house program and is subject to chaplain and director approval. We also have a resident's volunteer program. This program allows for smaller steps towards independence. It also allows for a gentler transition back into work and/or into the New Life program. The volunteer program offers progressively increased levels of responsibility and leadership, within the Mission structure. We also provide daily chapel service (twice a day), counseling, and referrals to other agencies through the Mission chaplaincy.
